AT&T; announced the availability of the AT&T; SureSeal Security Certified Program, designed to assess an enterprise’s information security program or critical business components and certify that they meet industry standards.
Completion of the AT&T; SureSeal Security Certified Program requires compliance with open and published standards taken directly from regulatory requirements and industry standards. These standards are generally accepted in the industry, and AT&T; openly shares the standards and assessment techniques with customers, according to officials.

The AT&T; SureSeal Security Certified Program process includes two key phases:
— The assessment phase consists of a detailed analysis of a business’
networks and data flow. Typically, this phase is performed through
documentation reviews, interviews and technical analysis.
— Once a business or organization has successfully achieved compliance
with the selected standards, it is certified for a period of one year,
renewable annually. Once certified, businesses can generate reports
for auditors, regulators and other parties and also secure access to
the full Certification Assessment Report, which details all

Aug. 30–ATLANTA–Home Depot has opened the doors of its first Internet store to customers in Las Vegas.
Metro Atlanta shoppers will have to wait until at least next year to click into the retailer’s online warehouse. Atlanta-based Home Depot has been testing e-commerce on a group of professional remodelers in Las Vegas and plans to roll out Internet sales to other customers slowly, market by market.
Next online will be San Antonio and Austin, Texas, said Jeff Cohen, group president of direct marketing businesses. He would not say when Home Depot’s online store would go live in all of the retailer’s markets

In 1990, Karla Boos founded Quantum Theatre and embarked on a journey with area theatergoers.
Over the past two decades, Boos, who serves as the company’s artistic director, has produced an eclectic selection of highly theatrical works that range from classics such as Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and the musical “Candide” to contemporary dramas such as the world premiere of “The Howling Miller,” which begins the company’s 2010-11 season today.
The company has performed in Allegheny Cemetery, the defunct swimming pool in the basement of the Braddock Carnegie Library, outside the stables at Hartwood Acres and numerous vacant Pittsburgh industrial spaces.
In keeping with that tradition, “The Howling Miller” will be performed outdoors, using as its backdrop the burned-out Frick Environmental Center building in Squirrel Hill.
An actress and director with an interest in tango and opera, Boos lives in Squirrel Hill. She has won local recognitions that include a Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Creative Achievement Award, Pittsburgh Magazine Harry Schwalb Excellence in the Arts Award, and a University of Pittsburgh Freddy Award.

NIGEL Twiston-Davies is aiming to clinch victory at the first attempt in one of the biggest jump races of the year in Ireland tomorrow.
The Gold Cup hero will have his debut runner in the tote.com Galway Plate (5.25pm), the feature race on the third day on the Galway Festival, with Grand Slam Hero bidding to rack up his fourth win in a row.
The 12-1 chance will be ridden by Graham Lee, aboard for the gelding’s success in the Summer Plate at Market Rasen last time out, because Twiston-Davies’ stable jockey Paddy Brennan remains sidelined with an arm injury.
Grand Slam Hero, unbeaten in five races for Twiston-Davies in two separate spells with the trainer, left his stable in Guiting Power, near Cheltenham, yesterday morning to start his trip to Galway on the west coast of Ireland.
Twiston-Davies’ business partner Carl Llewellyn said a repeat of his performance in the Summer Plate, when he came from off the pace to win by a length and a quarter, would make him a strong contender.
“He’s progressed well this season and conditions have been right,” he said. “He’s going the right way but this is another massive step up again for him.
“He’s probably best on good ground, so the softer it gets the more his chances decrease.
“We had to enter him before he won at Market Rasen, so it’s been on Nigel’s mind for a while.
“It’s a tough race but he’s in the form of his life and if he runs up to his best he’s got a great chance, but you could say the same about quite a few of the others.”
